Algeria, Serbia Strengthen Economic Ties: CREA Paves the Way for Strategic Partnerships
By: Dr. Hana Saada
Representing Mr. Kamel Moula, the Vice Presidents of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) held a high-level meeting with Nenad Popovic, Minister in charge of International Economic Cooperation for the Republic of Serbia and Vice-Chair of the Algerian-Serbian Joint Committee. The discussions, framed around strategic collaboration, highlighted the shared determination of both nations to strengthen economic ties and explore mutually advantageous investment opportunities.
The dialogue focused on enhancing bilateral economic relations between Algeria and Serbia, with particular emphasis on sectors offering high potential for joint ventures. Agriculture and industry were identified as priority domains, reflecting the commitment of both parties to foster sustainable growth through collaborative production and investment initiatives.
CREA underscored its pivotal role as a facilitator for Serbian investors seeking entry into the Algerian market. “Our objective,” the Council emphasized, “is to support foreign economic operators within a framework of win-win partnerships, ensuring that joint ventures generate tangible benefits for both nations.” This proactive stance illustrates Algeria’s strategic vision of positioning itself as a hub for regional investment and industrial cooperation, signaling to international partners that the market is open, structured, and strategically managed.
