5th Grade Assessment Exams: Written Tests Commence

Algiers- Algeria, May 12, 2024 – This Sunday marked the beginning of the written common exams for assessing the achievements of 5th-grade students. These exams, held on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of May, cover six subjects: Arabic, mathematics, French, Islamic education, history, and Tamazight for non-exempt students.

The duration of the history and Islamic education exams is 45 minutes, while for the other subjects, it is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Results will be collected on the digital platform no later than May 30th, and the list of absent students will also be established at that time.

It’s important to note that this is the second edition of the end-of-primary-cycle exam, which comes with a new format decided after extensive consultations with stakeholders in the education sector. These consultations began during the 2022/2023 school year, just after the conclusion of the first edition of this exam.
