80 Agreements Signed at Algeria Invest Expo: Oran Anchors a Structured Shift Toward Export-Led Growth and Continental Industrial Partnerships

ALGIERS, March 30th, 2026 — At the Mohamed Benahmed Convention Centre, the eighth edition of Algeria Invest Expo concluded as a focused exercise in economic positioning, where outcomes were defined by measurable engagement rather than symbolic exchange. The conclusion of no fewer than 80 preliminary agreements in partnership, investment, and export reflects a calibrated effort to align Algeria’s productive base with external markets, particularly across the African continent.
The agreements, concluded between Algerian public and private operators and foreign counterparts, span sectors central to industrial expansion, including construction materials, electrical equipment, household appliances, and service provision. As outlined by Ahmed Heniche, these arrangements extend into concrete export channels targeting regional markets, reinforcing a trajectory oriented toward diversification and sustained external demand.
Two direct export agreements—covering construction materials and wood derivatives—were finalized with Tunisia and Mauritania, offering immediate translation of negotiated frameworks into operational trade flows. Parallel to this, a series of investment agreements focused on the establishment of production units in Guinea, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, reflecting an outward-oriented industrial logic whereby Algerian enterprises embed themselves within regional value chains.
Organized by Sunflower Communication under the patronage of the Algerian Ministry of Industry, the Expo attracted a diverse international presence. Delegations from Senegal, Pakistan, and other partner countries engaged with Algerian firms to explore procurement, distribution, and joint investment opportunities. The participation of representatives from approximately 30 diplomatic missions across Africa, Asia, and Europe further underlined the widening scope of Algeria’s economic outreach.
The scale of participation provided an additional indicator of momentum. With 153 exhibitors—of which more than 80 percent were national companies—alongside international firms from China, Italy, Turkey, and India, the Expo reflected both the density of Algeria’s domestic industrial base and its integration within broader networks of production and exchange. Attendance exceeded 15,000 visitors, including professionals, investors, and project holders, indicating a sustained interest in export-oriented activity and enterprise development.
The accompanying conference program reinforced the operational dimension of this engagement. Discussions addressed renewable energy integration, industrial development through local content, logistics and export facilitation, carbon emission reduction, and energy demand management. These themes point to a recognition that competitiveness in external markets is contingent upon structural efficiency and technological adaptation.
Held alongside the main exhibition, the African Building, Infrastructure, and Technology Fair extended this framework into the domain of continental development, situating Algerian expertise within broader infrastructure and urbanization dynamics.
