81 Youth-Oriented Projects Selected Under Algeria’s 2025 Association Financing Program

Algiers – September 2025 – In a step toward empowering Algeria’s vibrant youth sector, the Ministry of Youth announced on Sunday the results of its 2025 call for projects, confirming that 81 associative initiatives have been selected out of 128 submitted for financing. The announcement reflects a deliberate strategy to consolidate transparency, professionalism, and participatory governance in partnership with civil society.
According to the ministry’s communiqué, the projects chosen encompass a wide spectrum of strategic domains, including youth citizenship and engagement in public life, protection against social scourges, social inclusion, and the development of life, digital, and social skills. Other focus areas include technological creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, digital media and meaningful content creation, as well as historical, active, and leisure tourism.
Financing Agreements and Capacity Building
The ministry confirmed that financing agreements with the selected associations will be signed in the coming days. Beneficiary associations will undergo targeted training on managing project financing conventions. Meanwhile, associations whose projects were not selected will not be left behind; they will be provided with training sessions aimed at strengthening their capacity in preparing and drafting future project proposals, thereby ensuring a more competitive and inclusive process in subsequent calls.
“Charaka”: A Digital Strategy for Transparency
This initiative forms part of a broader strategy to entrench transparency and institutional complementarity within youth civil society. A new digital platform, “Charaka” (Partnership), has been launched to streamline interaction with partner associations. The platform is designed to foster participatory approaches and to provide comprehensive, real-time monitoring of all project phases—from registration and submission to implementation and evaluation.
The ministry underscored that this innovative approach marks a qualitative leap in governance of youth associations. By institutionalizing continuous support and objective evaluation, the program seeks to strengthen the role of associations as engines of dynamism, modernization, and attractiveness within youth establishments across the country.
With over 5,570 associations already registered on the digital platform, the 2025 program signals not only a milestone in Algeria’s youth policy but also a clear reaffirmation that young people and their organizations are being positioned as central actors in shaping the nation’s social, cultural, and technological future.
