A Strategic Agenda for 2026
Berraf highlighted a series of strategic initiatives planned for the year, including:

Strengthening partnerships with Asian National Olympic Committees.

Launching the first cohort of ACNOAโs Sports Diplomacy Program in Hungary.

Expanding athlete development programs and awarding scholarships to support potential talent for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Additionally, 2026 will feature high-level specialized forums, including an AI in Sports Forum in June and an Athlete Health Forum in July, culminating in Senegal hosting the flagship Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, beginning October 31, 2026.

Berraf emphasized that Dakar 2026 will serve as undeniable proof of Africaโs capability to organize major sporting events with excellence and professionalism. He described the Games as a โshowcase for the continent,โ offering a golden opportunity to highlight Africaโs organizational expertise and emerging human capital.
โHistorically, Africaโs organizational capabilities have often been underestimated.
