African Export and Logistics Conference 2026 to Convene in Algiers with Broad Continental Participation
By Dr. Hana Saada
Algiers — The Economic Studies and Investment Development Foundation is set to organize the second edition of the African Export and Logistics Conference on April 21, 2026, at the Sheraton Club des Pins Resort, under the high patronage of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
According to the organizing body, this edition forms part of a broader effort to contribute to the implementation of the public authorities’ forward-looking vision, by exploring emerging opportunities and examining the challenges associated with global trade and logistics, particularly within the African continent.
The conference is conceived as a structured space for reflection and exchange, while also serving as a platform for Africa-to-Africa engagement, bringing together experts, exporting institutions, logistics operators, and professionals involved in intra-African trade.
Organizers have outlined a comprehensive program featuring a series of interventions addressing new regulatory measures and state-backed incentives available to exporters. Particular attention will be given to competition policy, intellectual property frameworks, as well as investment strategies and the expansion of e-commerce.
The meeting further aims to enhance the effectiveness of commercial operations within the African space, in alignment with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area, while emphasizing the need to master logistical mechanisms and associated costs. It will also provide an opportunity to identify concrete avenues for promoting Algerian products across African markets, thereby supporting efforts to diversify national wealth beyond the hydrocarbons sector.
The event is expected to bring together participants from more than thirty African countries, alongside over 200 producing enterprises operating across key sectors, including agriculture, agri-food industries, packaging, heavy and light industries, as well as services such as banking, insurance, transport, and logistics.
