ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has appointed Ahmed Mohamed Khouna as a member of the Council of the Nation, representing the presidential third.
According to the provisions outlined in articles 121 (paragraph 3) and 122 (paragraphs 2 and 3) of the Constitution, Ahmed Mahmoud Khouna has been designated as a member of the Council of the Nation for a term of six years, starting from the date of his installation. This announcement was made through a presidential decree published in Official Journal No. 68 on October 25, 2023.
This appointment signifies the President’s confidence in Ahmed Mohamed Khouna’s capabilities and expertise, as he assumes this important role in the Council of the Nation. As a member representing the presidential third, Khouna will contribute to the decision-making process and play a vital role in shaping the nation’s policies and legislation.
