Air Algérie Announces Inaugural Hadj 2024 Flight

Algiers, Algeria | May 18, 2024 — In an official statement, Air Algérie announced that the inaugural flight for Hadj 2024 will depart on May 20 from Algiers’ Houari Boumediene International Airport, bound for Medina. This flight marks the commencement of a significant logistical operation aimed at facilitating the pilgrimage of thousands of Algerian Muslims to Islam’s holy sites.

Air Algérie has meticulously planned a total of 146 flights to transport the pilgrims, with departures scheduled from 12 airports across Algeria. Of these flights, Air Algérie will operate 88, while Saudi Arabian Airlines will manage 43, and FlyNas will handle the remaining 15. This diversified approach ensures a variety of options for pilgrims embarking on their sacred journey.

The airports participating in this comprehensive operation include key hubs, such as Algiers, Oran, Constantine, and Annaba, among others. The initiative showcases a robust collaboration between Algerian and Saudi authorities, dedicated to ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for all pilgrims.
