ALGIERS- In a much-awaited announcement, Air Algérie, the national airline of Algeria, revealed on Monday that it will resume its flights to and from the picturesque Spanish city of Alicante. The airline’s decision to reintroduce this route comes as a welcome development for travelers seeking convenient and direct connections between Algeria and Spain.
In an official statement, Air Algérie stated, “Air Algérie is pleased to announce the resumption of flights to and from Alicante from July 15 to October 28, 2023.” This announcement follows a period of suspension due to the global travel restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airline’ scheduled flights between Algiers and Alicante will operate every Wednesday, allowing passengers to enjoy a mid-week getaway or plan longer stays in either destination. In addition, Air Algérie will offer flights between Oran and Alicante every Monday and Saturday, providing further flexibility for travelers in Algeria’s second-largest city.
The reopening of the Algiers-Alicante and Oran-Alicante routes is expected to meet the increasing demand for air travel between Algeria and Spain.
