Air Algérie Welcomes Its First Airbus A330-900 “Novembre 54”, Ushering in a New Chapter for the National Carrier

Algiers – November 2025 – Air Algérie has officially received its first state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900, a significant milestone marking the renewal and modernization of Algeria’s national air fleet. The official reception ceremony took place at Houari Boumédiène International Airport in Algiers, under the supervision of Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, according to a statement released by the Ministry.
The new aircraft, symbolically named “Novembre 54” in tribute to the glorious revolution of November 1954, stands as a symbol of Algeria’s national pride and forward-looking vision in the field of civil aviation. The acquisition of this long-haul aircraft is part of the fleet renewal program initiated by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the objective of enhancing air transport services and expanding Air Algérie’s international flight network.
