ALGIERS, March 26th, 2026 — In a clear affirmation of the deepening ties between Algeria and Spain, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, described Algeria as both a “strategic partner” and a “friend” with whom Spain maintains strong human and economic relations. His remarks came during an official visit and an audience with the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Minister Albares emphasized that his visit reaffirmed the privileged nature of bilateral relations, noting Algeria’s role as a neighboring country with which Spain shares longstanding ties and common interests, particularly regarding regional stability in the Mediterranean and Africa.
