Algeria–Bosnia: Forging Strategic Partnerships in Industry, Energy

The delegation included executives from ENERGOINVEST, a leader in energy engineering and heavy electrical industries, and representatives from HIFA-OIL, Bosnia’s principal distributor of petroleum products.

During the discussions, the CEO of ENERGOINVEST outlined plans to establish a major project in Algeria focused on manufacturing high-voltage circuit breakers, electrical transformers, and related components. The company seeks a partnership with a local Algerian operator and intends to implement cutting-edge technologies alongside comprehensive technology transfer programs. This initiative aligns with ENERGOINVEST’s international expansion strategy, following its successful footprint in European markets, and positions Algeria as its gateway to the broader African energy sector, in step with the growing dynamism of the national energy industry.

Meanwhile, the CEO of HIFA-OIL emphasized that his visit is aimed at exploring investment opportunities in Algeria’s petroleum sector and assessing the feasibility of launching projects tailored to the country’s market needs.

These strategic discussions underscore a shared objective: attracting investments that promote technology transfer, enhance local industrial integration, and strengthen Algeria’s position as a regional hub. The overarching goals include developing value chains in industry and energy, increasing local content, fostering national engineering and electrical industry skills, creating skilled employment, and solidifying Algeria’s stature as a leading industrial and energy center in the region.

The Director General of AAPI reiterated the agency’s commitment to supporting Bosnian investors at every stage of project implementation. He also highlighted the fiscal and parafiscal incentives and the streamlined access to economic land offered under Algeria’s investment framework, designed to facilitate foreign participation in national development projects.

Both parties concluded the meeting by affirming their determination to continue consultations and cooperation, aiming to realize successful investment projects that reinforce economic growth and strengthen international industrial partnerships.
