Algiers – December 2025 – A promising new chapter in Algeria–China economic relations has begun with the signing of a formal cooperation agreement between the Algerian Center for Businessmen and Economic Operators – National Office and the Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce. The one-year renewable pact, effective from December 15, 2025, is designed to activate tangible partnerships in trade, industry, and commercial exchange between the two nations.
The agreement was formalized by Mr. Messaoud Timount, the legally authorized representative of the Algerian Center for Businessmen and Economic Operators – National Office, and Mr. Ma Yaojin, President of the Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce. It establishes a clear framework aimed at connecting Algerian and Chinese businesses, entrepreneurs, and economic stakeholders.
A Partnership Built on Complementary Strengths
The accord brings together two influential institutions: the Algerian Center for Businessmen and Economic Operators – National Office, Algeria’s dedicated entity for business legal support and economic advocacy, and the Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce, a major driver of industry and commerce in one of China’s most dynamic economic regions. This alignment seeks to combine Algeria’s market access and regional reach with China’s industrial expertise and expansive commercial networks.

At the heart of the agreement lies a set of practical objectives aimed at fostering mutual growth. These include the joint conduct of technical and economic feasibility studies for commercial and industrial projects to facilitate investment opportunities; the provision of guidance and accompaniment for entrepreneurs and economic operators from both countries to ease market entry and partnership building; the organization of training sessions, scientific forums, workshops, and educational programs to encourage the exchange of expertise and innovative practices; and the facilitation of institutional exchange visits to business incubators, research centers, and industrial sites in both Algeria and China, strengthening direct commercial and institutional ties.
The agreement explicitly aims to build a “commercial bridge” and to activate cooperation in foreign trade and industry, with a particular focus on integrating Algerian businesses into wider international networks.
