Algiers, Algeria | June 29th, 2025 — In a move to advance Algeria’s export ambitions and economic diversification agenda, the Institute for Economic Studies and Investment Development will host the Algeria Export and Economic Development Conference this Monday, at the Sheraton Hotel, Club des Pins, in the capital Algiers.

Held under the high patronage of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, this key event is aligned with the strategic orientations of the Algerian government, and aims to explore opportunities and overcome challenges in international trade—particularly across the African continent. It also reflects a practical contribution to the implementation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s vision for a modernized, export-driven economy.

The conference will serve as a high-level platform where policymakers, institutional actors, economic operators, exporters, and sectoral experts will gather to debate and assess the current state and future prospects of Algeria’s export performance and broader economic development.

A central theme of the event is diversification beyond hydrocarbons. Through a dynamic program of presentations and expert panels, the conference will showcase the latest state-sponsored mechanisms and incentives available to Algerian exporters and investors. These include logistical support, access to African markets, export financing instruments, and infrastructure development schemes. The objective is clear: equip Algerian businesses with the tools to access and thrive in new global and continental markets.

One of the focal points of the agenda will be the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
