Algiers, August 23, 2023 – A new chapter in Algeria’s cultural landscape was unveiled on Tuesday as the Minister of Culture and the Arts officially inaugurated the captivating “Fantasia Land” leisure park. Situated at the Algerian Center for Cinema Development (CADC) in El-Achour, this visionary project marks a significant step forward in merging entertainment, art, and heritage.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries, artists, and culture enthusiasts, saw the Minister taking a comprehensive tour of the park’s diverse spaces and structures. Nestled within the cinematic backdrop that has hosted numerous television and film productions, such as the acclaimed series “Achour El Acher” and the cinematic masterpiece “Ibn Badis,” “Fantasia Land” opens a gateway to a world of immersive experiences.
Collaboratively brought to life by the CADC, the Ministry of Culture and the Arts, and the private communication agency P4 Communication, the park spans an impressive 16,000 square meters. Algerian families are set to enjoy a multifaceted tapestry of cultural and leisure offerings, including thrilling attractions, cinematic screenings, theatrical performances, and exhibitions that celebrate the legacy of Algerian crafts.
“Fantasia Land” is not just a park – it’s an invitation to embark on a journey through time and creativity. Starting from tomorrow, the park will be accessible to the public seven days a week, from 3:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. This extended schedule ensures that families and individuals can experience the magic of “Fantasia Land” at their convenience. As part of a comprehensive program developed in partnership with the CADC, Algerian cinema will take center stage with screenings on a colossal outdoor screen. This strategic initiative aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the 7th art among Algerian families.
