Algeria, Jordan Strengthen Bilateral Dialogue and Trade Union Cooperation

Algiers – October 2025 – Algeria and Jordan continue to consolidate their longstanding fraternal relations through enhanced dialogue and collaboration in the socio-economic and labor sectors. On Sunday, Minister of State and Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab received Khaled El Fanatsa, Secretary-General of the General Union of Jordanian Trade Unions, at the ministry’s headquarters.
The meeting was also attended by Amer Takedjoute, Secretary-General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), and Hamou Touahria, Secretary-General of the National Federation of Petroleum, Gas, and Chemical Workers.
During the discussions, Minister Arkab underscored the importance of reinforcing bilateral and brotherly relations between Algeria and Jordan, particularly through the exchange of experiences and expertise in managing social dialogue within the energy and industrial sectors. He reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to promoting cooperative mechanisms that ensure mutual development and stronger partnership between trade unions in both countries.
