Algeria, Oman Condemn Zionist Aggression Against Iran in Urgent Diplomatic Exchange

Algiers, Algeria | June 14th, 2025 —  In the wake of the Zionist entity’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held a high-level phone conversation on Saturday morning with his Omani counterpart, Badr Al-Busaidi.

According to a statement released by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the urgent diplomatic contact came just one day after the UN Security Council convened to address the dangerous ramifications of the Zionist assault on Iran, which has significantly heightened tensions across the Middle East.

The two top diplomats expressed grave concern over the escalating developments in the region, which they agreed represent a serious threat to peace and security, not only in the Middle East but globally. They underscored that the Zionist entity’s act of aggression, which deliberately violated international law and endangered regional stability, must not be allowed to pass without consequence.

Both Attaf and Al-Busaidi reaffirmed the need for urgent and unified international action to ensure the Security Council lives up to its responsibilities under the UN Charter. They called for the mobilization of all diplomatic and multilateral mechanisms to prevent further escalation and to hold the Zionist entity accountable for its blatant violations.
