Algeria, Qatar Reaffirm Strategic Brotherhood and Partnership in High-Level Talks

Algiers – October 2025 – Algiers reaffirmed, on Thursday, the depth of its strategic ties with Doha as Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. The meeting, held in the capital, reflected the fraternal spirit underpinning Algerian-Qatari relations and served to consolidate a path of enhanced partnership across multiple spheres.
According to a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the encounter provided an opportunity to review the outcomes of the second session of political consultations, co-chaired earlier in the day by the Secretaries General of the two countries’ foreign ministries. The session, marked by candid and constructive dialogue, reaffirmed the shared determination of both nations to deepen their already solid foundations of cooperation.
Both sides hailed the exceptional results achieved in fortifying ties of fraternity and partnership, underscoring the growing dynamism of Algerian-Qatari relations. They further stressed the necessity of sustained joint efforts to elevate bilateral cooperation in line with the ambitious objectives defined by the leaders of the two nations: President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother, His Highness Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
