Algeria Reaffirms Its Regional Diplomacy: Larbaoui Meets Tunisian and Palestinian Leaders in Seville

Algiers, Algeria | June 30th, 2025 — On the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) held in Seville, Spain, Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui held high-level bilateral talks with key regional counterparts, including the Head of Government of Tunisia, Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, and Palestinian Foreign Minister and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa. Representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Larbaoui underscored Algeria’s enduring commitment to regional solidarity, development cooperation, and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

Deepening Algerian-Tunisian Brotherhood

In a meeting marked by mutual respect and historic fraternity, Larbaoui and Zenzri celebrated the privileged relationship between Algeria and Tunisia, describing it as a product of the shared vision and steadfast commitment of Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Kaïs Saïed. Both parties expressed their determination to broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation and translate political will into concrete actions that benefit the two brotherly peoples.

The leaders reviewed existing frameworks of cooperation, upcoming bilateral programs, and the implementation of agreed-upon initiatives. “We are committed to elevating our partnership to new heights,” they affirmed, stressing the importance of translating shared goals into tangible economic and developmental outcomes.

Discussions also touched upon current regional and global developments, where the two leaders reaffirmed their aligned perspectives on key issues and emphasized the necessity of continuous coordination to confront common challenges.

Steadfast Support for Palestine: “A Just Peace Requires a Sovereign State”

In a separate meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa, Larbaoui reaffirmed Algeria’s principled and historic stance in support of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and sovereignty.

The Palestinian official expressed deep appreciation for President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s unwavering support, describing Algeria as “a beacon of honor and steadfastness in the Arab and Islamic world.”

The discussions focused intensely on the deteriorating humanitarian and political situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the Gaza Strip, currently facing a brutal and genocidal war waged by Israeli forces. The two parties denounced the ongoing atrocities and emphasized the urgency of international accountability.

Both sides agreed that only the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital, will bring about true peace, stability, and justice in the region. “The path to regional security begins with the restoration of Palestinian rights,” Larbaoui declared.
