Algiers, Algeria | July 1st, 2025 — In a solemn and dignified gesture reflecting Algeria’s principled foreign policy, the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Mr. Laïd Rebiga, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Algiers to sign the book of condolences, following the martyrdom of several high-ranking Iranian officials, prominent scholars, and innocent civilians killed in the latest Zionist aggression targeting Iranian territory. The visit was conducted on the express instructions of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Speaking on behalf of the President, Minister Rebiga conveyed Algeria’s profound sorrow and deep sympathy to the government and people of Iran, emphasizing the gravity of the criminal assault perpetrated by the Zionist entity. He denounced the attack in the strongest terms, calling it a blatant violation of international law and an affront to human dignity.
Minister Rebiga stressed that Algeria, true to its revolutionary legacy and unwavering diplomatic doctrine, stands resolutely with Iran in this difficult time. He reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast opposition to all forms of state terrorism, foreign interference, and aggression against sovereign nations. “Algeria shares in the grief and anger of the Iranian people,” he declared, “and will always uphold the values of sovereignty, resistance, and the inviolability of national dignity.”
He further underscored that this heinous act of aggression would not weaken the resolve of free nations but instead strengthen their bonds of brotherhood and shared resistance against oppression. “This tragedy only deepens the strategic alliance between Algeria and Iran,” he stated, “built on mutual respect, a common vision for justice, and an unyielding rejection of imperialism and Zionist expansionism.”
The Iranian Embassy in Algiers expressed its heartfelt gratitude for this high-level expression of support, praising Algeria’s clarity of conscience and its refusal to remain silent in the face of international injustice. The Embassy noted that Algeria’s principled stance sends a strong signal to the international community—affirming that solidarity, justice, and resistance are not forgotten values, but living forces in the struggle against oppression and occupation.
