Algeria Reaffirms Solidarity and Revolutionary Kinship with Bolivia

Algiers, Algeria |  In a high-profile diplomatic gesture reflecting Algeria’s steadfast commitment to international solidarity and historical friendship, Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Mr. Laïd Rebiga, represented President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during the bicentennial celebrations of Bolivia’s independence, held in the historic city of Sucre.

The event, presided over by Bolivian President Luis Arce, brought together representatives from numerous nations, underlining the significance of Bolivia’s long-standing struggle for sovereignty—an experience Algeria knows all too well.

On behalf of President Tebboune, Mr. Rebiga conveyed fraternal greetings and warm congratulations to the Bolivian Head of State, emphasizing Algeria’s shared sense of pride and support on this monumental occasion. The meeting between the two officials went beyond protocol, serving as a moment of sincere reaffirmation of the deep historical and political ties that unite the Algerian and Bolivian peoples.

The encounter also served as an opportunity to highlight the converging values of both nations—values anchored in the pursuit of justice, sovereignty, and resistance to oppression. At the core of their discussion were two emblematic causes: the Palestinian struggle for liberation and the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination—the last remaining colony on the African continent. Algeria and Bolivia’s consistent support for these causes was once again expressed with clarity and conviction.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Minister Rebiga extended Algeria’s greetings and best wishes—both from its leadership and people—to Bolivia’s Vice President David Choquehuanca and Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa.
