The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Ali Aoun, received the Russian Ambassador to Algeria, Valerian Shuvaev, with whom he reviewed the partnership projects in the field of the pharmaceutical industry with a view to their finalization, said a press release from the ministry.
This meeting, held on Sunday at the headquarters of the ministry, is part of the strengthening of Algerian-Russian cooperation and made it possible to review the partnership projects with a view to their finalization, particularly in the field of institutional cooperation between the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry in Algeria and the Russian Ministry of Health, said the same source.
The two sides also discussed the draft memorandum of understanding between the National Pharmaceuticals Agency (ANPP) and the State Institute of Medicines and Good Practices of the Russian Federation, the statement added.
To this end, it was agreed to accelerate their processing by the Russian side with a view to an early signature in order to encourage and support cooperation between the various pharmaceutical institutions of the two countries.
The hearing also provided an opportunity to review the opportunities for bilateral cooperation available to pharmaceutical operators, in particular between the public group Saidal and the Biocad group for the production of cancer drugs, as well as the prospects for its extension to other Russian operators to further consolidate the bilateral pharmaceutical partnership and raise it to the height of the fraternal and friendly ties that bind Algeria and Russia, the same source points out.
