Algeria Showcases Economic Might at AGRA 2025: Over 15 National Companies Captivate Slovenia’s Agricultural Fair

Algiers, Algeria | Algeria is currently making a resounding mark at the International Agriculture and Food Fair (AGRA 2025), held from 23 to 28 August in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion emphasized that Algeria’s participation represents “a strategic milestone in the reinforcement of economic partnership between Algeria and the Republic of Slovenia.” This initiative, the ministry stressed, reflects the continuity of the privileged relations anchored during President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s historic official visit to Slovenia, which opened new horizons for bilateral cooperation.
The ministry described AGRA 2025 as “a decisive stage” in advancing bilateral relations and creating new prospects for Algerian products in European markets. Algeria’s participation is framed not as a routine trade exercise, but as an act of long-term economic vision — one that seeks balanced, sustainable, and mutually beneficial partnerships with Slovenia and beyond.

The Algerian pavilion, supervised by the ministry, has quickly become one of the fair’s focal points. Slovenian visitors have shown remarkable interest in Algerian agricultural and food products, a reflection of the competitiveness, quality, and growing reputation of Algerian goods on European soil.
This dynamic presence signals Algeria’s intent: to shift from being seen as an emerging player to being recognized as a reliable and attractive partner within Europe’s agricultural and food sectors.
