Justice Minister Lotfi Boudjemaa Declares Nation Will Defeat All Plots, Praises Strategic Unity Between Army and People

Algiers, Algeria | June 16th, 2025 — In a firm declaration of national resolve, Algeria’s Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, emphasized on Monday that the newly adopted General Mobilization Law will fortify the country’s legal defenses by enhancing its proactive readiness to confront crises, threats, and challenges that could undermine the state’s sovereignty and stability.

Addressing members of the People’s  National Assembly (APN) following their approval of the draft legislation in Algiers, Minister Boudjemaa asserted that the law marks a critical step toward expanding Algeria’s legal framework for national defense and civil preparedness. “The adoption of this law,” he declared, “reinforces our strategy of anticipatory readiness in the face of all forms of threats, dangers, and disasters. It ensures the availability of all factors necessary to defend the supreme interests of the nation.”

The law, he explained, is in full alignment with Algeria’s broader efforts to enhance its strategic posture and national resilience. It aims to solidify the sacred bond between the Army and the People—a foundational relationship that continues to underpin Algeria’s strength, unity, and sovereign independence.

Boudjemaa expressed full confidence that “with the unwavering efforts of patriots, and the cohesion and solidarity of Algerian society, the country of martyrs will overcome all conspiracies and defeat every hostile plot against its republican system.”

The Minister also commended the valuable contributions and proposals put forth by parliamentarians during the deliberations on the bill. He called upon elected officials to intensify efforts to educate and mobilize citizens against disinformation campaigns and hostile interpretations that seek to distort or delegitimize national initiatives aimed at safeguarding the homeland.

He further praised the National People’s Army, acknowledging its exceptional professionalism, vigilance, and strategic vision under the guidance of its high command. “Our military forces,” he noted, “remain determined to act with firmness to deter and neutralize any attempt to threaten national security. Their loyalty to Algeria, its people, and the principles of the November Revolution remains steadfast and unshakable.”

Boudjemaa concluded by reaffirming that Algeria—equipped with its resources, national potential, and reformist ambitions—will continue its path toward comprehensive progress, amplifying its voice on the international stage and reinforcing its geopolitical role in Africa, the Mediterranean, and the world. This advancement, he stressed, is rooted in the will of the Algerian people, inspired by unity and sovereign pride, and supported by the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
