Algeria to Host African Auto Show in September 2025

Algiers, Algeria | Algeria is set to position itself at the heart of Africa’s automotive transformation by hosting the African Auto Show from 5 to 7 September 2025, held in parallel with the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) scheduled from 4 to 10 September at the Palace of Expositions in Algiers.
More than just a trade exhibition, the event is billed as a strategic milestone in Africa’s drive to build a competitive, integrated automotive industry. It is expected to bring together leading global manufacturers, African industrial champions, policymakers, and investors from across the continent and beyond.
Integration and Competitiveness as Strategic Leitmotifs
Organized under the theme “Integration and Competitiveness” by Algeria’s Ministry of Industry in cooperation with the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM), the African Union, and Afreximbank, the event aims to foster industrial synergies, chart investment priorities, and forge durable partnerships that transcend national markets.
On display will be ambitious Algerian projects, including:

Deals Worth Billions in the Pipeline
Parallel to the auto show, Algeria’s ambitions will be bolstered by the Intra-African Trade Fair, where 28 agreements worth an estimated $44 billion are set to be signed. According to Amin Boutalbi, President of the Arab-African Center for Investment and Development, these agreements cover exports of cement, iron, and agricultural products.
Algeria aims to secure at least $10 billion of this portfolio, signaling its determination to expand its industrial and trade footprint across the continent.
