Algeria, Tunisia Elevate Their Historic Alliance Toward Integrated Strategic Partnership

President Saïed, expressing profound appreciation for President Tebboune’s message, highlighted the constant and seamless communication between the two heads of state, which he described as a defining element of the bilateral relationship. This sustained dialogue, he said, reflects their shared determination to strengthen cooperation and consolidate the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples — nations linked by a glorious history of struggle and shaped by a common destiny.

The Tunisian President emphasized that Algeria and Tunisia, “as two countries endowed with extensive complementarities on all levels and in all fields,” are working hand in hand to enhance bilateral cooperation, expand partnerships, and stimulate joint investments. This ambition, he stressed, aims to reach the highest levels of economic and strategic integration and to achieve the shared prosperity to which both peoples aspire, particularly amid the pressing global challenges of the present moment.

President Saïed also noted with particular satisfaction the “convergence of views” between the two states on key regional and international issues of mutual interest — a harmony that continues to strengthen their diplomatic coordination. He praised the current level of bilateral relations and urged the continuation of joint efforts to intensify economic exchanges and align them more closely with the substantial potential available in both countries.

Looking ahead to the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Commission, scheduled for tomorrow, President Saïed expressed his hope that the meeting would achieve strong, tangible results. He insisted on the necessity of ensuring rigorous follow-up to the Commission’s recommendations to guarantee concrete outcomes that directly benefit the two brotherly peoples.

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, for his part, reaffirmed the commitment of both governments to transforming these shared aspirations into measurable achievements. He stressed the importance of capitalizing on the broad spectrum of available partnership opportunities across sectors, noting that the convening of the High Joint Commission falls squarely within the framework of implementing the strategic orientations outlined by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and President Kaïs Saïed.

Ghrieb also highlighted the significance of the Algerian-Tunisian Economic Forum held today in Tunis, describing it as an essential extension of the same momentum. The forum, he said, is designed to build a robust economic partnership founded on complementarity, solidarity, and an integrated approach capable of generating long-term development.

The meeting took place in the presence of Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, along with Algeria’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Azzouz Baalal — a sign of the high diplomatic importance both countries continue to attach to this critical bilateral relationship.
