Algerian Economic Operators Commit to Delivering $11.4 Billion Contracts Signed at IATF 2025: Moula Highlights Algeria’s Rising Role as Africa–Mediterranean Bridge

Algiers – October 2025 – The President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula, reaffirmed on Thursday in Algiers the unwavering commitment of Algerian economic operators to effectively implement the contracts concluded during the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025).
Speaking at the Centre International de Conférences (CIC) Abdelatif Rahal, during a high-profile meeting between President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and economic operators, Moula stressed that the credibility of Algerian businesses and the reputation of the nation depend squarely on honoring these contractual obligations. “For the credibility of our operators and the reputation of our country, we must succeed in materializing the contracts signed, whose total value stands at 11.4 billion US dollars,” he declared.
Expanding Investment and Lifting Barriers
Moula called for rigorous follow-up on the engagements made and the opportunities identified during the Fair, valued at 11.6 billion dollars. He underlined that successful implementation would not only consolidate trust with clients but also strengthen Algeria’s economic standing across the African continent. To achieve this, he urged the removal of persistent obstacles, the further development of national enterprises, and the expansion of investments. He emphasized the creation of jobs, the empowerment of work teams, the encouragement of entrepreneurial initiatives, and the fostering of an increasingly favorable climate for economic development — essential steps to ensure the sustainability of industries and technologies.
Reflecting on the meeting presided over by President Tebboune, the CREA head described it as “a moment of pride that we all share, thanks to the success of IATF in Algiers, the fruit of collective work involving economic operators, public enterprises, and African partners alike, all of whom contributed to achieving the set objectives.”
Algeria as a Continental and Mediterranean Hub
Highlighting Algeria’s strategic position, Moula asserted that the IATF demonstrated the country’s ability to establish itself as a “solid bridge between Africa and the Mediterranean,” while playing a driving role within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). He insisted that this positioning must be firmly anchored through sustained infrastructure development, as well as the continued promotion of innovation and competitiveness.
“The economic success of Algeria rests on a combination of industrial quality, national mobilization, and the capacity to create an environment conducive to excellence, enabling the country to secure its place as a lasting major player in both African and international economies,” Moula affirmed.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, several members of the government, and senior state officials, underlining the high-level political support accompanying Algeria’s economic ambitions in the wake of IATF 2025.
