Algerian Foreign Minister Meets Palestinian Counterpart in New York

ALGIERS- During his participation in the high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York, Foreign Minister Mr. Ahmed Attaf had a productive meeting with his Palestinian counterpart, Mr. Riyad Al Maliki.

According to a press release from the ministry, this meeting provided an invaluable opportunity to assess the situation in occupied Palestine and address the brutal aggression against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.

The two diplomats engaged in discussions regarding diplomatic efforts aimed at putting an end to this aggression and finding effective solutions to mitigate the humanitarian consequences through the provision of much-needed aid to the Gaza Strip.

Mr. Al Maliki expressed his appreciation for Algeria’ steadfast position on the Palestinian issue and extended gratitude to the Algerian government for its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

It is worth noting that the Head of Algerian diplomacy also held meetings with his counterparts from Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Libya at the UN headquarters.
