Algerian Foreign Ministry Launches Digital Appointment Platform for Civil Status and Legalization Services

Algiers – November 2025 – In a stride toward modernizing public administration and enhancing citizen access to essential services, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the official launch of its digital appointment platform dedicated to users of civil status and document legalization services. The platform will go live on Monday, 24 November 2025, marking a new phase in the ministry’s digital transformation efforts.
Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, confirmed the rollout on Sunday, emphasizing that the initiative represents a concrete step toward improving service delivery and easing administrative procedures for citizens. The new system, accessible through the ministry’s official website, is designed to streamline appointment scheduling for services provided at the ministry’s headquarters.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, the civil status service currently operates six days a week, including Saturdays. The platform is therefore intended to rationalize foot traffic, enhance reception conditions, and elevate the quality of services delivered to users.
The digital tool will facilitate appointments for a range of administrative operations, including the issuance and correction of civil status documents and the legalization of documents intended for use abroad. Once an appointment is booked, users will receive a confirmation email containing both the date of their visit and a link directing them to the list of required documents for each specific service.
