Algerian Hackers “Jabaroot” Strike at the Heart of Moroccan Intelligence, Exposing Major Corruption Scandal Involving Top Rabat Officials

Algerian Hackers “Jabaroot DZ” Strike Again: 4TB of Moroccan Land Registry Data Leaked in Devastating Blow to Rabat’s Elite

In a calculated cyber-offensive framed as retaliation against Moroccan propaganda, the Algerian hacker collective “Jabaroot DZ” infiltrates the Moroccan land registry agency (ANCFCC), exposing a sweeping real estate corruption network implicating top officials, including Morocco’s foreign intelligence chief Yassine Mansouri and Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. The leak, now surfacing on the dark web, reveals identity documents, property deeds, and suspicious multi-million dollar transactions involving members of the royal inner circle.

Algiers, Algeria | June 2nd, 2025 — In what is being described as one of the most severe cyberattacks in North African history, the Algerian hacker group Jabaroot DZ has launched a second and even more consequential strike against Morocco’s digital infrastructure. The group announced on Sunday that it had successfully breached the information system of Morocco’s National Agency of Land Conservation, Cadastre, and Cartography (ANCFCC), extracting over 4 terabytes of confidential property data—a cyber-raid that has now ignited political tremors in Rabat.

The leaked documents, fragments of which are already circulating on the dark web, expose a complex web of illicit real estate transactions involving senior Moroccan officials, including Yassine Mansouri, Director-General of Morocco’s Foreign Intelligence (DGED), and Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both men are considered key confidants of King Mohammed VI.

According to the hackers, the operation was a direct response to an intensified disinformation campaign spearheaded by Moroccan intelligence services and amplified by state-aligned media outlets targeting Algeria. Far from symbolic retaliation, this breach appears to have shattered the myth of Morocco’s digital invulnerability.

A Political Earthquake from Cyberspace

The hackers claim to have accessed and exfiltrated entire databases belonging to the ANCFCC, including:

  • Digital copies of passports and national IDs of Moroccan government officials;

  • Property deeds tied to high-value land parcels in strategically sensitive regions;

  • Civil registry documents linking landholders to powerful political families;

  • Real estate transactions from 2022–2023 involving sums exceeding $3 million, many allegedly conducted through front companies.

One of the most damning revelations centers around Yassine Mansouri, who, according to the leaked documents, established two shell companies under his daughter Khadija’s name. These entities were reportedly used to mask his acquisitions of expansive tracts of land, particularly in areas undergoing urban transformation or seen as geo-economically strategic.

These methods, Jabaroot DZ stresses, mirror settler-colonial practices used in occupation scenarios, where native populations are displaced to benefit elite interests. The group’s comparison has been interpreted as a sharp rebuke of what it calls “systematic internal colonization” by Moroccan elites.

Morocco’s Embarrassing Exposure

This latest breach follows a separate attack by Algerian hackers targeting Morocco’s National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and the official Chikaya platform, both of which were compromised last week. The cumulative effect of these breaches has raised serious questions about the cyber-resilience of Morocco’s critical institutions.

In a statement published shortly after the ANCFCC attack, Jabaroot DZ stated:

“We now possess the entire Moroccan property ownership database, from the King down to the lowest-ranking public servant. This is just the beginning.”

The leaked data not only poses an existential threat to the Moroccan regime’s credibility, but also undermines its regional standing. The operation, hailed by Algerian observers as a form of “digital resistance,” has amplified calls for greater cyber-sovereignty in the Maghreb region and exposed the vulnerability of autocratic regimes to information warfare.

As of now, the Moroccan government has remained tight-lipped, with no official denial or confirmation—only silence in the face of a spiraling digital scandal.

But one message from Algiers is resoundingly clear:

“In the realm of cyber warfare, the truth—no matter how deeply buried—can and will be unearthed.”
