Algerian Laboratories Biocare Launch Nationwide Diabetes Awareness Campaign

ALGIERS- Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Algerian laboratories Biocare are organizing a large-scale awareness campaign on diabetes across several days, spanning multiple provinces of the country. This extensive national campaign kicks off on Thursday, February 22nd, starting at 9 a.m., with the setup of a tent at the Place du Premier Mai in Algiers, located opposite the Mustapha Bacha University Hospital (CHU).
The campaign aims to raise awareness about diabetes, its risks, and preventive measures among the Algerian population. It will feature the presence of healthcare professionals who will conduct screenings, provide advice, and educate the public about the consequences of this disease.
Over the course of the campaign, tents will be set up in 22 provinces (wilayas) across the country. These locations will serve as focal points for disseminating crucial information and engaging with communities to promote greater understanding and awareness of diabetes.
The initiative underscores the commitment of Biocare laboratories, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, to address the growing prevalence of diabetes in Algeria and its impact on public health. By proactively engaging with citizens and providing access to essential healthcare services, the campaign seeks to empower individuals to take proactive steps towards better health and well-being.
Through education, early detection, and preventative measures, the campaign endeavors to mitigate the risks associated with diabetes and contribute to the overall improvement of public health outcomes in Algeria.
