Algerian Presidency Expresses Condolences on the Passing of Ameziane Ferhani

Algiers, January 2, 2024 – The General Communication Directorate at the Presidency of the Republic has extended its condolences following the passing of renowned journalist and writer, Ameziane Ferhani, at the age of 69.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the General Communication Directorate expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the journalist’s demise. The message of condolences reads, “With a resigned heart in the face of Allah’s will, the General Communication Directorate at the Presidency of the Republic has received the news of the passing of journalist and writer Ameziane Ferhani.”

“In this painful ordeal, the General Directorate extends its sincere condolences to his family and the media community, assuring them of its profound sympathy. May the Almighty Allah surround the departed with His Holy Mercy, welcome him into His vast paradise, and grant patience and comfort to his loved ones. To Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return,” concludes the message.
