Algerian Students Join “Huawei Seeds for the Future 2025” Program in China: A Leap Toward Digital Excellence

Algiers – October 2025 – A group of twenty Algerian students from diverse universities, major schools, and vocational institutes are currently participating in the “Huawei Seeds for the Future 2025” program in Shenzhen, China. This initiative, organized by Huawei Technologies, embodies the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering digital talent and innovation capacity among Algerian youth.
A Fruit of Inter-Ministerial Collaboration and Academic Merit
According to a communiqué released by Huawei on Saturday, the selected students represent institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education. Their selection followed a rigorous online training course lasting over a week, which brought together 56 Algerian students under the guidance of Algerian and Chinese experts in information and communication technologies (ICT) and entrepreneurship.
After undergoing intensive coursework and evaluation, the 20 highest-performing candidates earned top marks in the final examination, securing their place in the international phase of the program in China.

Since their arrival in China last Friday, the students have embarked on a rich academic and cultural journey, visiting Huawei’s global headquarters, research laboratories, and technological campuses. These visits provide them with an exceptional opportunity to discover the latest global innovations in ICT, explore cutting-edge digital ecosystems, and interact with leading professionals and researchers in the technology sector.
Through hands-on learning and intercultural exchange, participants gain valuable exposure to emerging technologies such as 5G networks, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, equipping them with skills essential for the digital transformation of Algeria.
