Algerian Teams Triumph at International Huawei ICT Competition, President Tebboune Extends Congratulations

Algiers, Algeria | May 26, 2024 — This Sunday morning in China, three Algerian teams participating in the international Huawei ICT competition in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) achieved remarkable success, securing three prestigious awards.
The Network and Cloud teams both clinched the Grand Prize, while the Computing team earned the First Prize. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and talent of the students representing various universities across Algeria. Notably, this marks the fifth consecutive year that Algeria has secured top positions in this esteemed competition.
President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressed his pride and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Algerian students who emerged victorious in the 8th edition of the ICT competition, organized in China under the auspices of the Huawei Group.
In his congratulatory message, President Tebboune stated, “I am proud of my sons and the students from the universities of Béjaïa, Sidi Bel Abbès, Oran, Algiers, and Batna who have once again distinguished themselves by securing the first place globally in the information category of the Huawei competition held in Shenzhen, China, in addition to the grand prize in information and communication technologies.
