Algeria’s Pavilion Shines at Hajj and Umrah Services Conference in Saudi Arabia After Winning the Golden “Labaytom” Award

Algiers – November 2025 – Algeria’s distinguished presence at the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition for the year 1447 AH has once again underscored its growing leadership in the field of pilgrimage management and service excellence. Participating among the select nations honored for their outstanding performance during the previous Hajj season, Algeria showcased its achievements after being awarded the prestigious Golden “Labaytom” Prize in recognition of its exceptional organization and administration of pilgrims’ affairs during the 1446 AH season.
This accolade stands as a testament to Algeria’s remarkable progress in elevating the quality of services provided to pilgrims—ensuring their comfort, safety, and spiritual fulfillment throughout the sacred journey. The recognition reflects the country’s dedication to implementing innovative and efficient mechanisms in the management of Hajj operations, guided by professionalism, coordination, and technological advancement.
The Algerian travel agency Taba Voyage also took part in the 2025 edition of the Hajj and Umrah Exhibition held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where it received multiple honors and commendations from prominent Saudi institutions, including Hasoub Tech Company and Manazel Al-Mukhtara Company, for its professionalism and commitment to service excellence.
On Tuesday, the Algerian delegation, led by Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, who also serves as Head of the Algerian Pilgrims Affairs Office, paid an official visit to the various national and international pavilions participating in the Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition. The delegation included Mohamed Alem, Algeria’s Consul General in Jeddah, and Professor Taheer Braik, Director General of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, as well as the Director of the Algerian Pilgrims Affairs Office.
During the visit, the delegation met with several stakeholders, partners, and key operators in the Hajj sector, in addition to representatives of Algerian travel and tourism agencies participating in the event. The meetings served as a platform for the exchange of expertise and the exploration of the latest services, technological solutions, and initiatives designed to enhance the experience of pilgrims.
