This, the statement affirmed, is not a matter of charity or political bargaining, but of universal duty under the UN Charter and humanitarian law.
Algeria’s clarity has been resolute: famine in Gaza is not a natural disaster but the deliberate outcome of a policy of siege, bombardment, and starvation pursued with impunity by the Zionist entity. To confront it requires more than outrage; it requires international sanctions, binding resolutions, and collective deterrence.
The Path Toward a Just and Lasting Peace
True to its historic position, Algeria has insisted that peace cannot be imposed through submission, but must rest on the only legitimate foundation: the two-state solution, grounded in the complete end of colonial occupation and the establishment of a sovereign, independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
This vision, as reiterated by Tebboune, is not negotiable, nor is it a diplomatic slogan—it is the indispensable horizon for justice, stability, and dignity in the region.
By hailing Algeria, the OIC has effectively acknowledged the continuation of a historic legacy: a nation forged in anti-colonial struggle, which has always stood unwaveringly beside peoples fighting for their liberation.
