Algeria’s Weather Forecast for Friday, 19 December 2025: Rainfall Across the North, Heavy Storms in the Aurès and Showers in the South
Algiers – December 2025 – Algeria is set to experience generally unsettled weather conditions this Friday, 19 December 2025, according to Météo Algérie, with widespread cloud cover and varying intensities of rainfall affecting several regions of the country.
In the western and central regions, the sky will be predominantly cloudy throughout the day, accompanied by scattered rain showers that may at times become thunderous. These conditions reflect ongoing atmospheric instability across much of northern Algeria.
Eastern regions will witness cloudy to overcast skies, with thunderstorms expected to intensify, particularly over the Aurès region. Rainfall in this area is forecast to be locally heavy, before gradually easing during the night as conditions stabilize.
In the southern regions, skies will remain mostly overcast over the eastern Sahara and the Oasis areas, where intermittent showers are expected, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms and locally significant rainfall over the Oases. A gradual improvement is anticipated toward the end of the afternoon over the eastern Sahara, extending into the night across the Oasis regions. Elsewhere in the South, notably over Béchar and the northern Sahara, cloudy intervals will prevail with isolated local showers, while clearer skies are expected over the remaining southern areas.
Temperatures will remain moderate but relatively cool for the season. Morning temperatures are expected to range between 7°C and 16°C along the coastal regions, between 6°C and 14°C across inland areas and the High Plateaus, and between 11°C and 24°C in the Sahara. During the afternoon, temperatures will range from 8°C to 16°C on the coast, 7°C to 14°C inland and over the High Plateaus, and 12°C to 26°C in the Saharan regions. At night, temperatures will drop to between 7°C and 14°C along the coast, 5°C to 13°C in the interior and the High Plateaus, and 8°C to 19°C across the Sahara.
