Algeria’s Weather Forecast for Monday, 19 January 2026: Rain and Cold Temperatures Across Most of the Country

𝓐𝓵𝓰𝓲𝓮𝓻𝓼 – 𝓙𝓪𝓷𝓾𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 – Algeria is expected to experience widespread unsettled weather on Monday, 19 January 2026, as cloudy skies, rain, and cold temperatures dominate the northern and central regions, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Office.
In the western and central regions, skies will be predominantly cloudy, with light rain in the morning increasing in intensity during the afternoon as showers develop. Snowfall is expected over elevated terrains, particularly above 1,000 to 1,100 meters, with localized snow descending to approximately 900 meters in some areas, mainly in the interior and the Western High Plateaus.
Eastern wilayas will witness mostly overcast skies, with intermittent rain along the coast and inland areas. Weather conditions are expected to improve by late evening. Snow is forecast for the interior, High Plateaus, and the Aurès Mountains at altitudes above 1,300–1,400 meters.
Southern Algeria will generally experience partly cloudy to veiled skies, with occasional rain showers over northern Béchar, the northern and central Sahara, and the Oasis regions. Some showers may reach the eastern Sahara in the afternoon. Elsewhere in the South, skies are expected to remain clear to partly cloudy. Snowfall is possible on the heights of Djebel Antar in the Bechar region, while sandstorms may occur in the central Sahara.
