Algiers–El Meniaa Air Link Resumes with Large Aircraft

A large-capacity aircraft landed at El Meniaa Airport on Friday, arriving from Algiers, marking the resumption of this domestic air connection with larger planes after several years of suspension, according to the Wilaya authorities cited by APS.
The flight was operated with a Boeing 733, accommodating 148 passengers. The arrival of the aircraft at the airport was overseen by the Wali of El Meniaa, Mokhtar Benmalek, along with other local officials.
Passengers noted the resumption positively, highlighting the improvement in travel conditions and comfort. The renewed service is intended to facilitate transport for residents of El Meniaa as well as travelers to other destinations in the southern regions.
Under the revised schedule, the route between Algiers and El Meniaa will operate twice weekly using the Boeing aircraft, in addition to existing services performed with smaller-capacity planes. Authorities indicated that the measure aims to strengthen the regional air transport network.
