Algiers Hosts First International Maritime Exhibition to Accelerate Sector Modernization and Investment

Algiers – December 2025 – The inaugural edition of the International Maritime Exhibition will take place from 2 to 4 December at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers (Pins Maritimes), bringing together forty national and foreign exhibitors, according to a statement released on Monday by the event’s organizers.
Described as a strategic initiative aligned with Algeria’s current national priorities, the event seeks to elevate the performance, modernization, and attractiveness of the maritime and port sectors, while stimulating infrastructure development within a domain long recognized as central to the country’s economic diversification agenda. Organizers emphasized the exhibition’s ambition to support forward-looking reforms and consolidate a sector whose evolution remains essential for national and regional competitiveness.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education, the exhibition will spotlight the pivotal role of professional training in reinforcing maritime and port-related specializations, including shipbuilding, port technical services, maritime maintenance, and logistics professions. The event’s architecture is conceived not merely as a commercial showcase but as a platform to consolidate expertise and enhance national capacities in specialized and emerging maritime vocations.
A comprehensive program of conferences will accompany the exhibition, addressing critical issues shaping the evolution of the sector. Scheduled panels will examine the strategic role of ports in export policy, the financing of maritime and port investments, and the ongoing energy transition within maritime transport — themes that reflect the complex intersection between industrial modernization, environmental sustainability, and economic imperatives.
In parallel, organizers have planned B2B meetings aimed at facilitating exchanges between public institutions, economic actors, and international operators. These encounters are designed to foster new opportunities for collaboration, co-development, and investment, with the intent of positioning Algeria as a credible and attractive partner in a rapidly evolving global maritime landscape.
