Algiers International Fair 2025 Kicks Off with Oman as Guest of Honour

Under the theme “For a Common and Sustainable Cooperation,” the 56th edition of the FIA opens its doors to global exhibitors, strengthening investment ties and showcasing Algeria’s economic potential.

Algiers, Algeria | June 22nd, 2025 — The curtain rises on Monday, June 23, on the 56th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA), a flagship event held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. This year’s edition, organized by Algeria Exhibition (a subsidiary of SAFEX) in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Trade and Market Regulation, welcomes the Sultanate of Oman as Guest of Honour—an emblematic choice reflecting the growing depth and dynamism of Algerian-Omani relations.

Themed “For a Common and Sustainable Cooperation,” the fair aims to be more than a trade showcase; it positions itself as a strategic platform for economic dialogue, investment matchmaking, and sectoral synergies. Hundreds of national and international companies are set to exhibit across key sectors including agri-food industries, electronics and home appliances, mechanics, metallurgy, construction, public works, services, and transformation industries.

The FIA stands as a barometer of Algeria’s evolving industrial landscape, presenting a wide array of national production capacities and highlighting the country’s industrial reforms and economic diversification strategies. The event also offers a dedicated retail space, allowing direct product sales—a popular feature for the general public.

Over six days, the fair is expected to foster high-level partnerships and attract foreign direct investment. Special attention is being paid to B2B engagement, with business leaders, institutional investors, and sectoral experts attending targeted forums and networking sessions.

The selection of Oman as the Guest of Honour underscores the intensifying diplomatic and economic ties between Algiers and Muscat. Recent bilateral visits have culminated in the signing of multiple cooperation agreements and MoUs in areas ranging from energy to logistics, urban development, and trade.

As part of Oman’s participation, a high-level economic delegation will attend the fair and co-host an Investment Forum on Tuesday. This forum will feature specialized sessions focusing on logistics, transformation industries, and urban development—sectors poised for joint ventures and regional growth.

The FIA will also include a series of economic conferences, including the Algeria-Pakistan Business Forum and panels on revitalizing productive investment, industrial reform and opportunity, and tourism sector development.

The fair is open to the public daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will run until June 28, 2025. Last year’s edition welcomed nearly 700 exhibitors from over 20 countries, covering a broad spectrum of sectors from agriculture and agri-food to petrochemicals and services. Organizers anticipate an even greater turnout this year, cementing the FIA’s reputation as one of the most influential trade and investment events on the African and Arab economic calendar.
