Algiers, Algeria | May 6th, 2025 — Algeria is set to host the 11th edition of the Africa Trade and Investment Forum, scheduled to take place on May 10–11, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers, under the theme “African Integration and Prosperity.” This flagship event, organized by the Arab African Center for Investment and Development (CAAID), will gather key players from across the continent to shape a renewed vision of intra-African collaboration, trade liberalization, and sustainable development.
The forum is held in partnership with the National Union of Public Entrepreneurs (UNEP), the African Union, the League of Arab States, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and the Arab Bank for Investment in Africa. It represents a strategic meeting point for economic stakeholders, including government officials, private sector leaders, financial institutions, investors, chambers of commerce, and development experts from Africa, the Arab world, and beyond.
A Hub for Economic Cooperation and Deal-Making
The event is expected to witness a strong turnout of high-profile African government representatives, business leaders, and economic policy makers, offering unparalleled opportunities for bilateral and multilateral engagements. More than 100 targeted B2B and G2B meetings are scheduled, designed to facilitate direct negotiations, cooperation frameworks, and the signing of strategic agreements across various sectors.
In parallel, a major economic exhibition will spotlight Algerian products and investment prospects, with a particular emphasis on boosting Algerian exports to African markets. This aligns with Algeria’s broader ambition to assert itself as a continental economic hub and a proactive actor in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Throughout the two-day summit, participants will engage in high-level discussions centered on:
-Financing and investment in Africa: challenges and opportunities
-The future of African economic integration under AfCFTA
-Food security, energy transition, digital transformation, and infrastructure as pillars of sustainable development
-The role of African and international financial institutions in supporting developmental projects
Special Sessions and Country Forums
The forum will feature dedicated sessions exploring Algeria’s investment climate, with detailed presentations on priority sectors and incentives for foreign investors. These sessions aim to demystify regulatory frameworks and encourage foreign direct investment into Algeria’s diversified economy.
Among the highlights:
-The Algeria-Uganda Business Forum, a platform to enhance bilateral exchanges and foster joint investment ventures.
-The Mauritania-Algeria Partnership Panel, which will focus on cooperation opportunities in energy, agriculture, logistics, and the upcoming Algerian exhibition in Nouakchott.
This pan-African forum arrives at a pivotal moment in the continent’s trajectory, as African nations seek to deepen ties and accelerate integration. Algeria’s hosting of the event reflects its strategic commitment to building a new economic dynamic in Africa, through enhanced trade, industrial partnerships, and knowledge sharing.
