Alliance Assurances Celebrates 20 Years of Trust with a 7% Revenue Growth and Bold Strategic Vision

Algiers, Algeria | June 10th, 2025 — Alliance Assurances, Algeria’s first private insurance company to enter the stock market, has reported a robust 7% increase in its turnover for the 2024 fiscal year, underlining its solid market position and reaffirming its strategic orientation towards digital transformation and sustainable growth.

The announcement was made during the company’s Ordinary General Assembly held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Legacy Luxury Hotel in Algiers. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hassen Khelifati, and attended by a legal quorum of shareholders, board members, statutory auditors, representatives of the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB), the Algiers Stock Exchange, banking institutions, and the company’s senior executives.

During the assembly, all the board’s proposed resolutions were adopted unanimously by the shareholders.

Strong Financial Performance in 2024

The administrative report presented during the meeting detailed that the company’s revenue reached 6.258 billion Algerian dinars in 2024, up from 5.851 billion in 2023 — a 7% increase. This performance significantly exceeds the 3.3% average growth forecast by the National Insurance Council for companies operating in the property insurance sector, meaning Alliance Assurances has achieved over twice the industry growth rate.

Net income also recorded a remarkable improvement, rising by 16% to reach 526.2 million DZD compared to 439.9 million DZD in 2023.

As for shareholder returns, the dividend per share has been raised to 35 DZD, up from 30 DZD in 2023, representing an annual net increase of 16.66%. Based on the current share price, the dividend yield stands at a competitive 8.34%. These dividends will be disbursed by September 30, 2025, at the latest.

Alliance Assurances expressed great satisfaction with these positive results and took the opportunity to thank its teams, partners, and shareholders for their trust, loyalty, and continued commitment.

20 Years of Innovation and National Leadership

The 2025 fiscal year is of particular significance, not only for its strong financial results but also for marking the 20th anniversary of Alliance Assurances. Reflecting on two decades of excellence, Mr. Hassen Khelifati recalled the founding values of the company: “Alliance Assurances was born out of a firm belief in establishing a modern, independent, citizen-centric, innovative, and high-performing company.”

“We pioneered several initiatives,” he continued. “Notably, we were the first to launch roadside assistance services in Algeria back in 2007. The first policy was sold on April 15, 2007. Today, it is estimated that between 4.5 and 5 million such contracts are issued annually across the market.”

Mr. Khelifati also highlighted a major milestone achieved in 2010 when Alliance Assurances became the first Algerian private company to successfully enter the stock exchange. The public offering saw demand exceed supply by 200%, with actual subscriptions reaching 150%. Approximately 7,000 Algerian investors participated, a testament to the company’s credibility and communication strategy despite the broader challenges faced by the private sector at the time.

“We weathered storms, overcame massive challenges, and always stayed true to our path — focused on service, innovation, and progress,” he emphasized.

Strategic Focus on Digital Transformation

“Alliance Assurances – 20 Years of Trust and Digital Transition” is not just a slogan; it embodies a strategic commitment to digital innovation. The company has launched an ambitious transformation plan that integrates artificial intelligence into internal processes, client offerings, claims management, and stakeholder engagement.

“Our goal is to place customer experience and seamless digital interaction at the core of our development. We offer innovative, user-friendly, transparent, and human-centered tools,” Mr. Khelifati affirmed.

The General Assembly recognized and commended the company’s trust in local Algerian startups that have developed sophisticated tech solutions powering Alliance Assurances’ digital operations. Among them, companies such as BELINK—emerging from the Algerian entrepreneurial ecosystem and supported by the state—embody President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s call to trust the talent and ingenuity of Algerian youth.

A Symbolic Headquarters for a Future-Oriented Company

In a bold architectural move, Mr. Khelifati announced the construction of a new symbolic headquarters in the business district of Bab Ezzouar—Algiers’ equivalent of Paris’ La Défense. The company has acquired a 3,200 m² plot of land where it plans to build a state-of-the-art complex exceeding 20,000 m² in surface area.

The headquarters will include four underground parking levels, modern workspaces, break lounges, training rooms, a 250-seat auditorium, two fully equipped gyms, relaxation zones, a nursery, a 5-a-side football field, a padel court, and a full-service restaurant. Additionally, a second building—The Entrepreneurship House—will offer free incubation space for young project holders, complete with mentoring and support services.

“This is our concrete way of building a future for our youth and national economy, remaining true to our social responsibility values,” Mr. Khelifati concluded.

Support for National Insurance Reform

During the assembly, the executive team also presented an update on the national insurance reform project, highlighting the importance placed on it by the President of the Republic. The reform aims to establish an independent regulatory authority, ensure sovereignty over data, improve financial and operational independence, and promote innovation, fair competition, and market transparency.

The completion of this legal framework, alongside its implementation and the establishment of the independent regulatory body, is expected to revitalize the sector, foster innovation, prevent monopolies, and support healthy competition.

The assembly members expressed full support for these reforms and voiced confidence in a brighter future for the company, the insurance industry, and the national economy as a whole.
