An architectural masterpiece: inauguration of the Gulf Bank Algeria tower in Algiers

situated in the municipality of El Biar in Algiers, the new head office of AGB (Gulf Bank Algeria) was inaugurated on Monday March 14, 2022 by the Minister of Finance Abderrahmane Raouya and His Excellency Cheikh Abdullah Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah. The latter is the owner of the Kuwait Holding Company and the president of the Kuwaiti investment company “Kamco”, visiting Algeria.
“The AGB Tower is a major architectural work that blends harmoniously into the Algiers panorama, thanks to its slender silhouette and its natural stone cladding. It constitutes a new reference in the world of business buildings in Algeria, in line with the eco-responsible commitments of the AGB bank”, indicates in a press release AGB, which is a bank under Algerian law with a universal vocation which started its activity in 2004.
َAGB specified that its tower, “in more than one emblematic way, comprises 25 floors, peaks at 110 m in height. Its design combines energy saving, durability, adaptability of spaces and comfort of its occupants”.
“It is a singular real estate work, in the shape of a butterfly or an open book depending on everyone’s perception, which has 33,000 m² of usable space, and which offers its users many services, in particular a connected conference room of 90 seats, 19 modular meeting rooms, ergonomic and functional office spaces, 9 intelligent elevators including 3 panoramic ones, a gym and underground parking on 5 levels of 280 places”, details the press release while adding: “It is a singular real estate structure, in the shape of a butterfly or an open book depending on everyone’s perception, which has 33,000 m² of usable space, and which offers its users many services including a 90-seat connected conference room, 19 modular meeting rooms, ergonomic and functional office spaces, 9 intelligent elevators including 3 panoramic ones, a gym and underground parking on 5 levels with 280 spaces”.

The bank listed the features of the new tower saying it is a: “A smart building, the AGB Tower is equipped with the latest building automation technology, and embeds the very best in connectivity, audio presentation systems -visuals and videoconferencing devices.
It is also adapted to new professional needs by its Integrated Modular Design offering great flexibility of spaces that can be reconfigured according to the needs of employees.
Eco-efficient, it is equipped with photovoltaic panels on the roof, a natural ventilation and cooling system, and ergonomics that favor daylight in more than 75% of the spaces. It also has a rainwater collection system in the basements.
