Arab League Commends Algeria’s Efforts for Palestinian Cause

ALGIERS- The Arab League Ministerial Council, convened in its 161st regular session in Cairo on Wednesday, commended Algeria’s dedicated efforts in support of the Palestinian cause since assuming its current mandate at the United Nations Security Council.
In a decision issued during this session concerning the Palestinian cause, Arab foreign ministers lauded Algeria’s proactive role in monitoring developments related to the Palestinian cause at the Security Council. Algeria has actively worked towards halting Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, advocating for a ceasefire, and backing Palestine’s full membership application to the UN.
In addition to addressing political, security, economic, social, and financial matters, the agenda of this session held in Cairo prioritized discussions on the Palestinian cause. This includes the alarming escalation of the genocidal warfare perpetrated by the Zionist occupier against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
It is important to recall that the genocidal onslaught launched by the Zionist entity for over five months has resulted in over 30,000 martyrs, 72,000 injuries, thousands of missing individuals, and 1.9 million displaced persons. Algeria’s steadfast support and advocacy within the Arab League underscore its commitment to justice and solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and self-determination.
