Attaf Represents Algeria at the 2nd Africa–Russia Partnership Forum Ministerial Meeting in Cairo
Algiers – December 2025 – Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived Thursday evening in Cairo, Egypt, to participate in the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Africa–Russia Partnership Forum, a key diplomatic platform aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation between the African continent and the Russian Federation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Attaf is mandated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to represent Algeria at this high-level meeting, scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday. His participation reflects Algeria’s sustained commitment to reinforcing multilateral partnerships grounded in mutual respect, shared interests, and balanced cooperation.
The proceedings of this ministerial session will focus primarily on assessing the outcomes of the implementation of the Joint Action Plan for the period 2023–2026, as well as examining preparations for the 3rd Africa–Russia Summit, slated for next year. These deliberations are expected to lay the groundwork for a renewed momentum in Africa–Russia relations, with an emphasis on deepening political dialogue, economic cooperation, and strategic coordination on regional and international issues.
