Automotive Industry: AAPI Backs “Mechanica Algeria” as a Catalyst for Investment and Local Production
Algiers – December 2025 – The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) has officially expressed its full support for the first edition of the “Mechanica Algeria” Salon, reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that stimulate investment, strengthen local production, and contribute to the diversification of the national economy. This endorsement was confirmed during a meeting between AAPI Director General, Mr. Omar Rekkache, and a delegation from the company organizing the event, scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 February in the city of Constantine.
On this occasion, Mr. Rekkache stressed that the AAPI lends its backing, without reservation, to all initiatives that promote investment and productive activity, regardless of the sector concerned. He highlighted that events of this nature, which bring together industrial operators and project holders within a single framework, play a crucial role in fostering industrial integration, encouraging partnerships, and supporting the emergence of a diversified and resilient economic fabric.
The Director General further invited economic operators to register on the dedicated digital platform of the Salon in order to take part in the event and, beyond that, to seize the opportunity to establish fruitful and sustainable partnerships. According to him, such platforms offer a concrete space for exchange, networking, and the transformation of industrial ambitions into tangible projects aligned with national development priorities.
The “Mechanica Algeria” Salon is set to gather, under one roof, automotive manufacturers, suppliers, spare parts producers, and subcontractors active in the automotive industry. It aims to showcase the latest technological innovations in the sector, while highlighting opportunities for local integration, technological transfer, and value creation.
