Benbouzid meets with Lebanese Ambassador to Algeria

Health Minister Abderrahmane Benbouzid have reviewed with Lebanese Ambassador to Algeria Mohamed Hassan ways to develop bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries, a ministry statement said on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two partieshave reviewed “means of strengthening Algerian-Lebanese relations”, stressing that their respective governments were “willing to develop bilateral cooperation and promote partnership between the two countries at the service of their mutual interests”.

Benbouzid and the Lebanese ambassador have welcomed the level of “privileged relations between the two brotherly countries”.

The Lebanese ambassador has taken the opportunity to salute the help provided by Algeria to Lebanon through the dispatch of doctors following the fire in the port of Beirut in 2020, addressing a “fraternal greeting to the Algerian people and to the high authorities of the country”.

The Lebanese ambassador also has praised Algeria’s support for brotherly and friendly countries, stressing “the convergence of positions between the two countries”.

For his part, the Minister of Health has expressed “the firm will of the country’s high authorities to strengthen and develop cooperation with brotherly countries”.
