Algiers, Algeria | August 23rd, 2024 — At a rally in Djelfa on Friday, Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the El-Bina Movement, urged his supporters from the 2019 presidential campaign to back independent candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the forthcoming election slated for September 7. Bengrina called on his previous electorate to lend their support to Tebboune, emphasizing the candidate’s dedication to advancing the principles of the “New Algeria.”
Bengrina underscored that Tebboune’s campaign is focused on fortifying the foundations of the New Algeria and ensuring the country’s sustained progress. He positioned Tebboune as a pivotal figure in consolidating the nation’s achievements and continuing its trajectory of success.
In his address, Bengrina defended Tebboune’s administration against efforts to destabilize the electoral process, accusing detractors of disseminating misinformation and attempting to undermine the President’s credibility. He lauded Tebboune for his efforts in strengthening Algeria’s military, maintaining national unity, and bolstering the nation’s economic resilience.
Reflecting on Tebboune’s previous term, Bengrina highlighted the candidate’s initiatives to improve citizens’ purchasing power, combat market monopolies, and address pressing economic challenges. He emphasized Tebboune’s commitment to leveraging Algeria’s resources, previously misappropriated by corrupt entities, for the nation’s development and prosperity.
