Oran, Algeria | May 30th, 2025 — In a spiritually charged visit coinciding with the sacred first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, Abdelkader Bengrina, President of El Binaa El Watani Movement, arrived in Oran this Friday evening to connect with party members, sympathizers, and the wider Algerian public. The visit, which included a major popular rally, served as both a political and spiritual affirmation of the movement’s deep-rooted identity.

Bengrina’s first stop in Oran was a highly symbolic and reverent visit to the residence of his longtime friend and esteemed scholar, Sheikh Dr. Sharif Nour Eddine Belkaid Al-Idrissi Al-Hassani, a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and current Sheikh of the Belkaidia Hebria Sufi Order. The lineage and legacy of this family are deeply intertwined with Algeria’s spiritual fabric and Sufi traditions, notably through Sidi Mohamed Belkaid, the reviver of the spiritual path, and Sheikh Abdel Latif, may Allah have mercy upon them.

Bengrina and his delegation were graciously received, with Sheikh Nour Eddine offering heartfelt prayers, spiritual counsel, and a generous share of his time. The gathering was infused with an air of serenity and religious devotion, echoing the timeless values of Algeria’s Islamic heritage and resistance through spiritual endurance.

In his statement following the visit, Bengrina expressed profound gratitude for the Sheikh’s hospitality and blessings, emphasizing the vital role played by such spiritual leaders in preserving Algeria’s moral compass and transmitting the nation’s values to future generations.

The visit was further distinguished by the presence of key El Binaa figures, including Haj Mohamed Chelabi, President of the Oran Provincial People’s Assembly, the head of the regional El Binaa office, parliamentarians Younes Hariz, Rachid Cherchar, and Wahid Al Sheikh, alongside senior party officials and members of Bengrina’s accompanying delegation: Tayeb Sharif, Houssam, Qaddous, and Bachir.
